Tile as Wall Art

I am back with yet another inexpensive form of wall art.  I'm kind of on a kick to fill the walls lately.  Today, I give you: tile as wall art.

As you can see, these started out as three large decorative tiles I found at a local discount home improvement store.

After priming and painting them to match the bathroom, I glued sawtooth hooks on the back using Gorilla Glue and hung them using the same nifty tool I made to hang my gallery wall.

All three tiles cost $7.50.  I already had the spray paint, picture hooks, and the Gorilla Glue, so that part was free.  $7.50 for a set of three!

They really help fill in the space above the shower insert.  It looked kind of naked there once I raised the height of my shower curtain.

  4. This is really cool looking. Our local tile store is going out of business makes me think that I need to go looking for some tiles. What a great idea. Keep up the great work!

  6. Ooo they look so fantastic!! I've always tried to think of something to put above the tub - I might have to go and get some tiles for our guest bath. They'd look great hanging up. And I love how you have the two fabric panels.
